Welcoming a new baby into the family is a moment filled with emotion, change, and connection — especially when a proud 3-year-old sibling is stepping into their new role.
This recent newborn and sibling session captured exactly that bond: quiet curiosity, gentle affection, and the beginning of a lifelong relationship between brothers.
As a newborn photographer in Colorado Springs, I focus on creating fine art newborn and child photography that goes far beyond traditional portraits. Each session is designed as a custom artwork experience with a whimsical flare, far beyond a standard photo shoot.
Instead of simple images, families receive a carefully curated collection of fine art portraits that tell a complete visual story. Every image is created with intention, emotion, and artistry so it can stand alone as artwork or be displayed together as part of a cohesive series.
Including siblings in newborn sessions adds depth and meaning to the final gallery. In this session, the connection between the newborn and their 3-year-old brother brought natural, heartfelt moments that cannot be recreated.
These are not posed “smile for the camera” images — they are real interactions captured in a way that becomes timeless wall art.
Most families choose to preserve their images in a custom-designed heirloom photo book featuring 20+ images, turning their session into a lasting keepsake that can be revisited for years to come.
Many also choose to display their favorite portraits as wall art for nurseries and children’s rooms, transforming fleeting newborn moments into meaningful pieces of home décor.
Every newborn session is completely custom. The goal is to create something you cannot find anywhere else — not a typical photo shoot, but artwork designed to reflect your family’s story.
From newborn-only portraits to sibling moments and detail-focused compositions, each gallery is built to feel cohesive, emotional, and timeless.
This newborn and big brother session is a perfect example of why I love what I do: honest connection, simple beauty, and artwork that grows more meaningful over time.
